Every time I pick out a present for my friends, I try to find something that matches their personality or something that will make them enjoy their birthday.
Julie Jones's birthday was on November 11. Weeks before that I had spent hours trying to think of what to get her. After 10 hours and a lot of second guesses, I decided to take her out to eat. I asked her where she would like to go and she picked Las Flores in Manchester. We hopped in the jeep and drove to Manchester.
When we got there, we looked around, absorbing the Spanish music, the smell of the Mexican food and the family sitting on the other side of the restaurant staring at us because we didn't seat ourselves yet. The waiter approaches us shortly after we sit down and he asks us what we would like to drink. She then orders chicken nachos and I order the fajita pita. The food was good and I loved the chips and salsa at the beginning but we decided to try new things..like the sauces on the side of the table.
I started with the regular hot sauce, and I liked it. Then we tried the red colored Habanero sauce, it was spicier but it wasn't bad. Then she had me try the green colored Habanero sauce, it burned so bad. It even smelled like it would burn
As we are about to leave, Julie decides we should have a contest. She thinks we should take the sauce put a line on the end of are knives and like it. The first to go for the pop, loses. As we about ready to go, she says "Hey does that look like someone we know", as I turn she dumps all her sauce off her knife. We then lick them, and I feel as if I started a wildfire inside my mouth. Everything burned. It even felt as if my insides of my eyes and ears were burning. After I had won the bet, I had giving Julie money to walk up and pay the bill. The burning was starting to make my stomach hurt. We left and then both decided to go to the gas station and get milk to calm the burning.
I have now learned my lesson. If it smells like it's burns, looks like it's going to burn, it will probably burn. DON'T TRY IT!
